Hot gas extrusion welding technology is currently used in america and europe for purpose of fabrication and welding plastics for improved performance in welding efficiency and enhanced corrosion resistance and life of welding joints.
Welding results have shown zero failure and found reliable joining system, extrusion welding is used for thick wall plastic sheets where it is necessary to lay down large volume and homogenous seams such fabricated and welded chemical tanks are not corroded by aggressive chemicals they are not affected by exposure to aggressive environment.
The welding process are meant for thicker plastics sheets such as 50 MM. the welded joints are homogenous capable of taking high load and found leak proof they are popular among pickling, galvanizing, electroplating and anodizing process.
The one pass of extrusion welding is enough thicker Material require multiple passes and it increases the cost labour and risk of failure and several heating and cooling cycle harm the properties of thermoplastics. therefore it is recomended to use hot gas extrusion welding process.
